Designers in Residence 2017: Support

The museum asked designers to submit creative responses to this year’s theme SUPPORT. This year's residents are Soomi Park, Chris Hildrey, Studio Ayaskan and Yinka Danmole. For the first time in the programme’s history, the museum will provide the designers with a designated studio space to focus and develop their projects independently and explore topics of shared interest that relate to the theme.

For the first time in the museum’s history it will have a free permanent display of its collection: Designer Maker User tells the story of contemporary design through these three interconnected roles.
