Retail stockroom assistant

The museum is seeking a Retail Stockroom Assistant. This part-time role will contribute to the smooth running and success of the museum’s recently expanded retail operation at our new home in Kensington. The Stockroom Assistant will assist the Stockroom Supervisor in the operation of the two stockrooms in the museum. Duties include receiving goods in to the loading bay, organising dispatch of E-commerce orders, assisting with shop replenishment and all necessary picking, packing and unpacking as well as supporting the Supervisor with the Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) component of the stockroom.

Hours: part-time, 16 hours per week normally Monday and Tuesday. However, additional hours may be available, and some weekend/bank holiday/evening work may be required.
Hours: 07.00 – 15.30 with a 1 hour break
Pay rate: £17,639 per annum, pro rata (£8.48 per hour)
Holidays: 25 days per annum, pro rata

Corporate development manager

The museum is seeking a Corporate Development Manager to join its busy and successful team. This role is responsible for generating corporate support through sponsorship of exhibitions and a broader portfolio of activities carried out by the museum as well as the Corporate Membership Scheme.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced corporate fundraiser with a proven track record of managing successful corporate membership schemes, sales and account management of sponsorships, including six figure value accounts. You will have well-established contacts and networks and be highly motivated with the ability to work independently. Working from a Fundraising Portfolio you will devise packages for sponsorship, to liaise with the relevant museum departments and stakeholders and to see through the fundraising process from identification of appropriate prospects, to project pitch and conclusion of negotiations.

Pay rate: up to £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
Holidays 25 days per annum
Hours: full time, 40 hours per week

Freelance Learning Project Co-ordinator

The museum is seeking a Freelance Learning Project Co-ordinator.

The purpose of this freelance commission is to support the delivery of a funded outreach project for primary schools. A motivated educator with project management experience is required. Key to the role will be clear communication skills, a strong understanding of school contexts and the ability to manage resources and time effectively.

This freelance role will underpin the delivery of a new national outreach programme of Continuing Professional Development for teachers. This will involve establishing and implementing new systems. In collaboration with the Head of Learning and Schools Producer, the Freelance Project Co-ordinator will develop content and materials. This will include commissioning content for use with teachers and children and assisting delivery of professional development events to teachers. The Freelance Project Co-ordinator will support a nascent team of freelance experts and educators, will facilitate communications for the project, and will co-ordinate a small national network of schools.

Timeframe: Lasts for 6 months until December 2017
Pay rate: A flat fee of £3000 (inclusive of all expenses, approx. 25 days)
